6th Grade East Ridge Middle School

 Supply List

 

Welcome to the East Ridge Middle School! An exciting year lies ahead. Parents, below is a list of items students need to be prepared for sixth grade. Students, come to school prepared and ready to learn. We look forward to meeting and working with you this year!

ERMS 6th Grade Teachers

 

Organized for individual students:

Ÿ  2 inch or larger 3-ring binder

Ÿ  5 subject dividers with pockets or 3-prong pocket folders for binder

     (one for each class: Reading, Math, Language Arts, Science and  

                                          Social Studies)

Ÿ  1 zippered pencil pouch

Ÿ  Pencils and hand held pencil sharpener with shaving catcher

Ÿ  Plenty of notebook paperstock up now while paper is so cheap.

Ÿ  1 calculator: TI30Xa ($10.00 at Wal-Mart) Please try to purchase this.

 

Turned into homeroom teachers:

Ÿ  composition books (marbled style journal books, not spiral bound notebooks)

Ÿ  1 pack of dry erase markers

Ÿ  2 packages of colored pencils

Ÿ  2 box of crayons

Ÿ  2 rolls of paper towels

Ÿ  3 boxes of Kleenex

Ÿ  Fantastic or Clorox Wipes

Ÿ  1 package of pencils

Ÿ  1 pack of cap erasers

Ÿ  Hand sanitizer

Ÿ  3 packs of wide-ruled notebook paper

Ÿ  1 pack of highlighters

Ÿ  3 packs of standard, lined index cards

Ÿ  Construction paper

The student is expected to have these materials in class everyday.

 

 

  • One Large 3-Ring Binder (Zippered seems to work best)
  • Sticky Notes for Language Arts
  • 4 folders with pockets that fit inside the 3-ring binder
  • Colored Pencils
  • #2 pencils and Handheld Pencil Sharpener
  • One blue or black pen
  • Pencil Pouch
  • 3 packs Notebook Paper
  • Scissors, Highlighter, Glue Stick, Crayons, ruler
  • Graph Paper
  • Composition Book for Language Arts
  • Spiral Bound or Composition notebook for Math
  • Composition Book for Science
  • Overhead Pens – Vis-à-vis (Bird)
  • Expo Markers – homeroom teachers
  • TI30 calculator for homework

 

·         Zip lock sandwich bags (1 box)

 

·         Cheap pair of earbuds for the computer when they are using them

 

·         If they use mechanical pencils they need to bring extra lead.

  

The following items go to the homeroom teacher to be used in the classroom:

  • Hand Sanitizer
  • Clorox or sanitizing wipes
  • Acrylic Paint Brushes

ADDITIONAL:  If your child wants to use lead pencils they need to buy extra lead for themselves and 1 pack to give to the homeroom teacher.
